Perspectives on the Journey:
2nd Saturdays of Summer
As part of Perspectives on the Journey, we’re excited to offer a special summer series based on IDENTITY. Come join us for a fun and refreshing time on the 2nd Saturdays of June, July and August, as we create mixed media art projects that will explore who God says we are, and encourage us to courageously live out our identity in Christ as we journey through this life.
June 8th – Life Giving Words: Who does God say you are? As we explore scripture for all the ways God describes us, you’ll prayerfully select one of these words and create a 4”x12” canvas that will be a reminder of how God sees you.
Register by Sunday, June 2nd
July 13th – God Made Me Special: We’ll explore how fearfully and wonderfully God made you as you create a 12”x12”collage with a few selected photos from your life overlayed with your portrait. Please bring a colored photocopy of any special pictures you would like included in your collage to class. Also, a photo you would like to use for your portrait should be emailed the week before class. Specific instructions will be provided after registering.
Register by Sunday, July 7th
August 10th – Flowers of the Field: We’ll take an up close view of how stunningly, beautiful the flowers of the field are. As you create a 12”x12” canvas, we’ll explore how much God loves you more than these.
Register by Sunday, August 4th
All classes are 9am-1pm at HarvestDowntown, and $25/class. Take one class, or take them all! No art experience is necessary and all materials will be provided. These classes were designed with beginners ages 12 to adult in mind, and we’ll walk step by step through each class. Younger kids (8-11), if working on a project with an adult, are welcome. Bring a friend! Class size is limited, so sign up early. If you have any questions or would like to register, please email Kerri Donaldson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
